Sandblasted concrete, warm wood, and exposed metal: materials are at the heart of this project and therefore of my photographic approach. I worked to accurately capture their textures, playing with the contrasts and nuances offered by natural light. The raw surfaces and exposed beams create an aesthetic that is both minimalist and vibrant, which I sought to convey with sincerity. Photographing this building meant conveying its purity, its balance between robustness and delicacy.
My work at the agency Oslo Architects Strasbourg consisted of capturing much more than a simple rehabilitation The aim was to reveal the soul of a building that, from a boxing gym, has become a creative space. I sought to to highlight the contrast between the rigor of the architectural lines and the fluidity of life that animates open spaces today, the meeting rooms or even the cafeteria. My photos tell the story of a reinvented place, where every detail contributes to the overall coherence.

The renovated space is characterized by a great, almost mineral-like brightness, which I wanted to amplify in my images. The light, filtering through the skylights and openings, highlights the volumes and softens the stark lines. I chose uncluttered compositions, allowing the eye to breathe, to reveal the elegance of this understated and functional architecture. Each photograph aims to create a dialogue between the materials and the light, emphasizing the overall purity.
Photograph an architecture firm, It’s also about photographing those who inhabit it. I included the architects and staff of Oslo in my images to give the place a human dimension. These discreet presences bring the spaces to life and remind us that architecture only truly comes into its own when it is experienced. My goal, therefore, was to capture the balance between the rigor of the workspaces and the warmth of the daily life that unfolds within them.

This project allowed me to explore the precision of the lines and the strength of the geometries inherent in Oslo’s architecture. I sought to highlight the alignment of the structures, the repetition of columns and beams, and the clarity of the volumes. Through my images, these lines become a visual language that conveys the coherence and mastery of the architectural project.
In my approach, the choice of viewpoints was essential to conveying the spirit of the place. I worked with tight, sometimes almost abstract, perspectives to accentuate the graphic power of the spaces. These framings offer a fresh perspective on the building and allow its richness to be discovered from unexpected viewpoints. My intention was to create a photographic experience where the architecture unfolds gradually.
