However, I worked under constraints. I had limited time on location (a video shoot forced me to leave quickly). Construction equipment was present, and the lighting was challenging. Each angle was carefully chosen to create a clear, graphic image that accurately reflected reality.

I also did a lot of post-production work. With the painting finishing touches still to be done, I reworked the color scheme of the flutes in the silo, for example. I repainted them in copper, as specified by the architectural firm.

Some photo shoots don’t always go as planned. This was the case with the circular underground parking garage at Place Charles-de-Gaulle in Épernay. When I was there, the construction wasn’t quite finished. The challenge was therefore to capture the strength of the architecture while respecting the raw state of the site. On the plus side, since the parking garage wasn’t yet completed, there were no tire tracks on the ground.

This type of project challenges my perspective. How can I photograph a utilitarian space with no apparent soul? How can I evoke its use without showing the user? This is where photography becomes a language. My approach aims to reveal the emotion contained within the form, and to make each image a silent narrative. like precious golden bubbles.

The architecture, designed by the LA/BA agency, is distinguished by its spiraling forms, oval openings reminiscent of champagne flutes (an essential reference for the “capital of champagne”), giant typography, and arrows embedded in the ground. I sought to reveal these powerful details, to play with light, perspective, and the textures of the concrete. A true exploration of the material.
