Osmose European Parliament
📍 France, Strasbourg (67) | 🇪🇺 European Parliament office | Architects : Oslo Architectes and ARTBUILD Architecture | 📸 2022

My photographic work has focused on the skin#atfp_close_translate_span# of the building. The metallic sunshades, alternating between red and gray, create a graphic vibration on the facade. They modulate the light and generate complex reflections, especially in raking light. I sought to capture these plays#atfp_close_translate_span# of shadow and transparency to reveal the richness of the materials.
The Osmose project, located in the heart of the Wacken Archipelago in Strasbourg, is part of an ambitious urban development plan. Designed by the firm Oslo Architectes and ARTBUILD#atfp_close_translate_span# Architecture, this office building serves as a strong architectural landmark within the new European Quarter. For this report, I was asked to contribute to the initial work of another photographer, accredited by the Parliament. The images presented here were captured independently, before the commission was finalized, as a way of showcasing my perspective.

This project illustrates my approach as an architectural photographer: an attention to light, the rhythm of the facades, and the relationship between the volumes and their surroundings. Each photograph seeks to convey the formal coherence of the project, as well as its symbolic role within the neighborhood. A sensitive style, serving the architectural interpretation.
The scale of the project calls for varied framing. Overviews show how Osmose integrates into the urban fabric, engaging in a dialogue with its iconic neighbors such as the European Parliament and the former Adidas offices. In contrast, close-ups highlight the dynamic lines, layering effects, and reflections.
