Vertiges de Paysages est une expérience sensorielle qui rappelle la rapidité avec laquelle nous voyageons à travers la vie, sans prendre le temps de nous immerger pleinement dans les moments de beauté naturelle qui nous entourent. Ce travail photographique est une célébration de la vitesse et de la sensation, une tentative de capturer l’instantanéité des expériences et la richesse des sensations éphémères.
En mettant délibérément en exergue les lignes entre mouvement et immobilité, Vertiges de Paysages nous défie de trouver un moment de pause, un espace pour la contemplation au milieu de notre course incessante. Ces séries, actuellement décomposées en trois univers (Railways, Présence d'Architecture, et Force de la Nature), constituent une oeuvre poétique qui parle à nos sens et à notre âme, nous rappelant l’importance de ralentir, de respirer profondément, et de s’ouvrir aux merveilles subtiles mais profondes du monde qui nous entoure. En capturant ces instants, sans les déformer numériquement, Michael Bouton nous offre une perspective unique sur la beauté éphémère et nous invite à chercher et à nous attarder sur le voyage qu’est notre vie.

First, a brief semantic explanation: Ar(T)chitec(X)ture is a personal photographic project purely artistic in intent, featuring photos centered on the theme of Architecture and Textures. It is thus a contraction of the words ART, ARCHITECTURE, and TEXTURE
Enhancing buildings through Fine Art photography
Typically, when we walk in urban environments, we see buildings without really looking at them. We take in their entirety and, as if everything were normal, we move on. However, behind a school, a community hall, an office building, or just simple business premises, there hides one or more architects. These individuals have spent weeks, if not months, integrating their ideas into our daily lives. These technicians and experts in architecture are not just specialists in construction. They are, for me, builders of the world.
Lines, curves, shadows, lights, textures, colors… these are not random. They are the thoughtful and structured assembly of various materials. Add to this the expertise of architects and master builders. This is what allows a structure to endure over decades or even centuries.
This is what I feel when I look at the buildings around me.
A unique photography of distinctive architectural works
Here, the goal is not to present the building as it is. On the contrary, the purpose of this photographic project is to highlight the building in a different composition and framing. To show it from a new angle. Combining fine art photography with architectural photography, for me, means:
◦ Highlighting a part of the construction.
◦ Showing things from a different perspective.
◦ Integrating the environment into its building (note: yes, in that sense).
It’s about enhancing a part of the building to give another, unembellished view, just with my photographer’s eye.

Photos to showcase the artistic vision of architects
Ultimately, the goal is not to alter reality through post-processing, but rather to enhance it by highlighting details invisible at first glance. My aim is to reveal the lines and curves envisioned by architects, which remain invisible to the eyes of passersby.
Whether it’s a train station, a hotel, or a museum, I love to photograph a building from a different angle. I enjoy playing with geometric shapes and color nuances. I appreciate when there are no people around so that the focus can be solely on the construction itself. But I love it even more when there are people around. It brings the places to life and adds dynamism to an otherwise static structure. I like playing with the lighting, with a clear sky that highlights the construction in its simplest form. But conversely, I also appreciate clouds that add depth and a more dramatic aspect.
Indeed, this project is also about making people want to look at the photo and ensuring that buildings are more than just simple constructions. Ultimately, it’s about highlighting the work of these women and men, these creators who decorate our world. That’s my vision of Art-chitecture.
